On the 4th of September of 2007 "Ievan Polkka" by Otomania was posted on NicoNicoDouga, this project is a celebration of all that has happened since then to today and I really hope you enjoy it!
It’s been 17 years since Vocaloid2 came out, along with Miku (and 10 years of me being a fan!), so I wanted to create something special to celebrate! This medley is my tribute to some of the most visually iconic Vocaloid songs from over the years. I’ve made unique character designs inspired by each one of these songs, and this project actually served as my thesis for art school! Soon, I will also be sharing a free PDF art book featuring my character designs for anyone who prefers reading over listening to me ramble.
This creation of this project was a long and fulfilling journey! I hope you enjoy it and that it brings back some nostalgia and wonderful memories of these past years. Many of these songs are deeply tied to specific emotions and moments in my life, making this medley an emotional journey for me as well. Although I had to leave out many songs I love, I’m really happy with how it turned out! I’d love to hear your feedback on how I could improve, and if any of these songs hold special meaning for you, please share your experiences in the comments!
