Welcome to my Celebrity Reflection cruise vlog! This is how you can do app check-ins through the Celebrity Cruises app on a smartphone. The traditional way to check in to a cruise is online on a computer, but now it’s so easy to do on your phone. I go through all the steps and procedures that allowed my family to have a smooth embarkation and show you what it was like for us to board the Celebrity Reflection on New Year's Eve.
Whenever we go on a cruise, we always like to arrive a day or more before the embarkation date to ensure that we arrive at the cruise terminal on time and don't miss the ship. I have always remembered waiting in lines and sitting in waiting areas before boarding cruise ships, but this embarkation experience felt so quick and we were all surprised that it seemed so easy to board the ship.
Our dinner at the Opus restaurant was reserved before we boarded our cruise and we have Select Dining, which means we could have chosen a different dinner time depending on the day. The difference from traditional dining is that you are not guaranteed the same waiters and may be seated at a different spot each day. We chose 6pm for every day since we like having a consistent dining schedule.
This series is from my family vacation a year ago when my grandma decided to treat our family to a Western Caribbean cruise during the New Year (2023). This was our first cruise after the pandemic and it had been 4 years since our last cruise.
