Spring is definitely in the air here in Norfolk UK at the moment. The Brown Hares are busy sorting out their territories and pairing up for the mating season. They are easy to spot in the fields in early spring as the crops haven't grown up yet.
This pair of boxing hares have been carved from a lump of English Oak. It took me quite a while to make them but it was a fun challenge. I looked closely at the anatomy and muscle structure on my reference material to try and capture a sense of movement in the sculptures.
