This method calls for equal amounts of water, milk, and sodium hydroxide. The water and sodium hydroxide are mixed together as usual, while the milk is added to the melted oils. I always add a bit more water (14g) just to make sure my sodium hydroxide completely dissolves. Water = same amount as your calculated sodium hydroxide + 14 grams Coconut Milk = same amount as your calculated sodium hydroxide To calculate your sodium hydroxide for your specific recipe amounts, you can use a soap calculator like the one at Majestic Mountain Sage: http://goo.gl/7hH5Vw Rose Clay - http://bit.ly/2Nh5CUB 2 teaspoons hydrated with distilled water I used 1 teaspoon of the hydrated rose clay per cup of soap Activated Hardwood Charcoal - http://amzn.to/2tOidX7 (Amazon affiliate link) Activated Bamboo Charcoal - http://bit.ly/2tJwnsz 2 teaspoons mixed with 1 tbsp sunflower oil I used 2 teaspoons of this mixture per cup of soap White Kaolin Clay - http://amzn.to/2Nh6Tel (Amazon affiliate link) 1 tablespoon hydrated with distilled water I used 1.5 teaspoons of the hydrated kaolin clay per cup of soap Essential Oil Blend: Lavender - 5 parts Tea Tree - 1 part Peppermint - 0.5 parts Great article by Modern Soapmaking on Using Essential Oils- http://bit.ly/2IKS9AS *** NOTE: Amazon & Nurture Soap Links are AFFILIATE Links **** SOME OF MY SOAP MAKING EQUIPMENT Waring 7” Quik Stik Immersion Blender - http://amzn.to/2j2vgMf Scale - http://amzn.to/2woRyUs Silicone spoons - http://amzn.to/2tMh0j2 Small silicone spoons (8.5”) - http://amzn.to/2Kp2GXX Pink bowl - http://amzn.to/2NhUqHb Glass beaker - http://amzn.to/2tNypYG 2.5 LB Loaf Mold - https://bit.ly/2TF2whf Mold Dividers - http://bit.ly/2lN3Wpd Owl Silicone Molds - http://amzn.to/2NiFMiY Funnel Measuring Cup (3.5 cup) - http://amzn.to/2tUew2j Measuring spoons - http://amzn.to/2KJGesd Hanger Swirl Gear Tie - http://amzn.to/2Nk4SxU Long Hanger Swirl Gear Tie- http://amzn.to/2z3d56m Glass Stir Sticks- http://amzn.to/2KzNh6u Vegetable peeler - http://amzn.to/2Fvkt9a Steamer - http://amzn.to/2Nk00c4 Soap cutter - Buds Woodshop (Bud Haffner) -Etsy Gloves - http://amzn.to/2GwBUY8 Eye protection - http://amzn.to/2DPaKd9 **** MUSIC INFO **** Music by Epidemic Sound #soap #soapmaking #kapiamerasoap DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. These videos are intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking has many variables and involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear. While I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining, so many variables go into making soap and even the smallest change can greatly affect the results; therefore, I am not liable or responsible for your results if you try any of the methods or techniques that I use in my videos.
