Charles Dale singing "I'd Go A Long, Long Way For You" on Grey Gull 2161 played on my restored Victor Victrola VE 4-20X Orthophonic phonograph. No matter how restored the player, this disc is in the roughest shape I've seen and basically "is-what-it-is". I'm not sure what happened to the lead-in on both sides, but whatever it was, it wasn't pretty...
I've been going through my collection on Discogs and trying to pair up videos with discs in my collection. When there is no video, I make one on a machine that makes sense given the time period of the recording.
I've noticed many Grey Gull/Radiex/Supreme records have not been uploaded for posterity, especially some of the cornier discs like this one. Absolutely this style didn't last, but it's still a historic footnote in the history of recorded music and now it will live on forever... or at least until my account gets cancelled...
