Based on the principle that change requires commitment, the conservationist Evrard Wendenbaum has dedicated himself to protect the last remaining so-called « uncharted worlds » on Earth. As conservation happens through knowledge, Evrard organizes large scientific expeditions that inventory, for the first time ever, these natural treasures to better preserve them from the threat of human activity and global warming. His goal is to showcase their extraordinary biodiversity, particularly in terms of native species, in order to have them reclassified as conservation areas.
A true 21st-century adventurer, Evrard leads the way for scientific teams to access this impenetrable terrain. To explore these hostile and perilous areas, these teams will need to collectively up their game by going spelunking beneath icebergs in Greenland, descending steep rapids in Indonesia, and trekking through a giant rocky maze within the Makay range in Madagascar. From mapping Madagascan lemurs to observing the Indonesian anon (the smallest bovid in the world), along with a submarine acoustic analysis in the Arctic, science and adventure join forces to protect our most precious flora and fauna.
