Chee Cheong Fun is rice rolls made from rice flour and tapioca starch. The fillings can be a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables or nothing at all. Normally, these rolls are drizzled with sauces like sweet soya sauce, chilli sauce, sweet bean sauce or even curry sauce. Chee Cheong fun can be found in small road side stalls all the way to high end restaurants. Usually, it is eaten as breakfast or as an afternoon snack. The ingenious pairing of fillings and sauces makes it one of the most delicious food that I have ever tasted. If you are interested to make it yourself, here are the ingredients:

1 cup (130g) tapioca starch
2 tsp salt
6 cups (1.4L) water

2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp light soya sauce
1/2 tbsp dark soya sauce
1 tsp sesame seed oil
10 tbsp (150ml) (warm water)
SAUCE 2
2 tbsp yong tau foo sauce
2 tbsp Thai sweet chilli sauce

2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp warm water
1 tsp dark soya sauce
2 tbsp sriracha sauce
