Flautas, but there is a spin-off of something my mom would make us when we were kids. I used fresh tortillas, these are amazing, and if you don't want to make scratch tortillas, the fresh ones in the refrigerated section that you can cook up in 1 minute are game changers. I slow cooked salsa chicken breast until tender, shredded it, and then added it with my fillings. Sour cream, cream cheese, cheese, taco seasoning, and some green chiles. Rolled up in these fresh tortillas and fried until crispy golden brown. These are delicious on their own, but you can dip in some salsa or guacamole. You can use smaller corn tortillas for taquitos or larger flour tortillas for flautas depending on what you like.
3 Chicken Breasts
1/2 cup salsa
1 teaspoon salt
Cook in a crock pot for a few hours, once cooked through shredded.
Fresh tortillas, these are incredible, but you can use any tortillas you prefer, I like flour tortillas
1 can green chiles
1 cup shredded cheese, I used Colby Jack
2 teaspoon taco seasoning
1/4 cup sour cream
4 ounces cream cheese
Oil, to shallow fry, about 1/2 inch.
Brown on all sides and serve with salsa, guacamole, queso, or extra sour cream.
