The Leshan Giant Buddha 乐山大佛 is the largest and tallest (71 meter) stone buddha statue in the world. It was carved out of a cliff face in Leshan, China between 713 and 803 (during the Tang dynasty). A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mount Emei 峨眉山 is one of four most important Buddhist mounts in China, and is most famous for its “Golden Summit” 金顶,with the “Ten-faced Puxian Bodhisattva” and the highest Buddhist temple in traditional Chinese areas. A UNESCO World Herige Site.
