During a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing today on the nomination of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) to be U.S. Secretary of State, U.S. Senator John Curtis (R-UT) raised several critical policy issues related to China’s global push for military and economic dominance. Curtis and Rubio discussed the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to coerce Taiwan, China’s crackdown on Hong Kong’s autonomy, how our European allies are increasingly recognizing the China threat, and China’s presence in the Panama Canal.
