U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Saturday to impose a 10 percent tariff on all Chinese imports under the pretext of fentanyl control efforts. China firmly opposes the new tariffs, which violate World Trade Organization (WTO) rules. It also calls on the U.S. to instead work on steady, sound and sustainable China-U.S. relations, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said.
