Have you ever wondered how to make a chocolate lace cake wrapper? Well this really easy tutorial will show you how to make this chocolate lace wrapper in no time at all! It is a really fun way to decorate a cake and the chocolate lace is a great way to jazz up a boring old cake!

To make this chocolate lace cake wrapper you will need:

150g 70% Dark Chocolate (1 cup/6oz) - This is enough to cover a 4 layer, 6" cake. Increase the amount of chocolate if you are wrapping a bigger cake!

Chop up 3/4 the chocolate into fine pieces and leave the remaining 1/4 in a big block. Over a double boiler on low heat, melt the chocolate very slowly until it reaches 47C/116F then immediately take it off the heat, and add the big block of remaining chocolate. Continue to stir and allow the temperature to reduce to 31C/87F. Remove any remaining lumps of chocolate that haven't melted. Immediately put the tempered chocolate in a piping bag with a small round tip nozzle. Drizzle it over your parchment paper, and then let it set for about 1-2m and then wrap it around your cake.

You can use any design you want for your chocolate lace wrapper so get creative!
