Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of Humble Pie. I've noticed a few requests to feature some of their classic music and finally got around to creating this lesson - so let's dive right in! Humble Pie formed in England in 1969 with the dynamic guitar duo featuring the late-great Steve Marriott playing alongside guitar legend Peter Frampton (the lineup also included bassist/vocalist Greg Ridley from Spooky Tooth). The band exploded in popularity in the early-mid 1970s and beyond. Frampton eventually left the group to begin his solo career, but Humble Pie continued after his departure and consistently delivered the melodic and hard-hitting blues-rock style that the band discovered and became known for. The chord-based ideas shared in this lesson include a number of interesting things happening throughout, including sections from songs such as 'Stone Cold Fever,' 'C'mon Everybody,' 'The Fixer,' 'Earth And Water Song,' and 'A Nifty Little Number Like You' - not to mention a section from Humble Pie's biggest single, the eternal classic '30 Days In The Hole.' If you're a Humble Pie fan or a player searching for some new chord-based and rhythm guitar ideas to play around with - this lesson is totally for you! Give this episode a view, leave some comments/feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night Lessons - THANK YOU!
