Here's the next Chordplay episode with The Chords of Testament.
Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson carved out their own brand of thrash metal in the late 1980s and Testament continues to melt faces and erupt mosh pits to this day.
This lesson focuses on the early days and centers around a single cut from their debut album (for some glorified thrash action) and a number of inspiring chord-based moments from The New Order.
I love all of Testament's music (for the most part), but The New Order is by far my favorite album. It's moody and dark and several tracks create a trance-like state with Peterson and Skolnick weaving and blending their guitars together in a glorious way.
