Clay is a big, beautiful, bay roan 16.2 hand, 1700#, 6 yr old Belgian/Quarter Horse cross gelding that is very GENTLE. Clay has been on multiple trail rides and ridden on the ranch where he walks flat footed and handles everything with ease. He will cross bridges, rivers, creeks, and downfall. Clay has a very laid back, willing personality. He stands well to be brushed, bathed, clipped and shod. You can catch him anywhere, and leave him tied all day without a trouble. He will step right off into a lope and stays at same speed you ask him to go. Clay will step over his hocks and stop well when asked. Clay is also soft in the face and ribcage, as he will flex and move laterally with ease. He handles tarps, whips, flags, and balls without a problem. You can lead him over to a gate or fence, where he will side pass over to and stand for you to mount. Clay is built to last a lifetime even in the most rugged terrain you could find. He an enjoyable horse to ride. Clay is also broke to drive. We have driven him double, in multiples and put him on either side or in middle. He stands well to hook up and rest. Nothing we have thrown at this gelding has seemed to rattle him. In fact, we have owned and trained several relatives to this gelding and they all have that same gentle demeanor and people friendly personality. We have owned Clay over a year and really enjoyed him. Current on Dental, Deworming, & Farrier. For more pictures and video visit hansonhorseranch.com or call Jordan @ (507) 272 3571.
