Washing the print head of an Epson printer with Mr. Muscle glass cleaner is carried out after soaking it. Pressure cleaning is performed using a medical syringe. This washing is a good alternative to washing the head in an ultrasonic bath. Mr Muscle is a great replacement for washer fluid and it soaks up dried ink well. Mr Muscle contains ammonia. Please note that this washing option is suitable for water-soluble inks. Other types of ink are washed with special washes.
For rinsing, it is advisable to take “Mr. Muscle” green.
The procedure for cleaning the print head with Mr. Muscle glass cleaner is as follows:
- Before washing the Epson print head with Mr. Muscle, you need to remove the necessary assembly into which the cartridges are installed. Place the heads under running warm water and let them soak for a while.
- Next, pour the mentioned cleaning agent undiluted into the container and begin washing the printer’s print head with “Mr. Muscle”. Immerse it a few millimeters, and put a silicone tube from the dropper onto the upper ink refill fittings. Insert a syringe into it and begin to draw out the air, performing backwashing. Repeat the procedure until clean product begins to flow into the syringe.
- After finishing cleaning the Epson print head with Mr. Muscle, dilute the product with warm distilled water in equal proportions. Place a piece of tube from a dropper about 15 cm long onto the ink fitting, and attach a silicone adapter to the free end and attach a syringe with the prepared solution to it.
- Do not press too hard so that the adapter does not jump off and the nozzle plate does not come off. The 15 cm tube is needed to protect the electronics from the cleaning solution. The main thing is to keep the syringe away from the print head and apply gentle pressure to thoroughly flush the Mr. Muscle print head.
- After completing the procedure, you need to install the print head in the printer, turn on the regular printer nozzle flushing and print a test page.
Finally, we note that such cleaning of the printer head with Mr. Muscle is not always safe, as there is a risk of damaging the device.
