Jeff takes this episode of History Hunters to the shore of Mono Lake in the eastern Sierra Nevada where Clint Eastwood built the movie town set of Lago for the western classic film High Plains Drifter.
He also will explain the time in 1861 or 1862 when Mark Twain visited here and became stranded on one of Mono Lake's islands -- or so he claimed in his novel, "Roughing It."
The GPS location of the movie set is:
37°56'42.5"N 119°02'26.9"W
