Hey CNC Woodworkers! I recently moved from Mach 4 to Centroid CNC12 for my Avid CNC control software. This involved reworking my Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) setup to work with Centroid. I wrote a lot of custom code and macros to make this easy to setup and use with an ATC spindle / router. In this video I'll discuss everything you need to do to setup the software for getting an ATC to work with Centroid. This is specific to Avid CNC's release of Centroid CNC12, but it wouldn't be too hard to make it work for other varieties of Centroid. If you are interested, please let me know, and I can probably point you the right direction. I use a HITECO QD-1F ATC spindle on my CNC router, but this would work with other spindles, such as the CNC Depot S30, S30C, RM30, RM40, RM70, etc, and it should work fine with Avid CNC's ATC spindle once it is released. As before, the code is completely open source and free. I make no warranty on it working...use at your own risk! ATC spindles can be dangerous.

Post processor notes: Any M6 tool change will automatically do a G43 to set the tool height for the requested too, so no modifications will be required to a post processor to make this software work.
