Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this video, we demonstrate the simulation of CO₂ removal from a feed gas using MDEA as a solvent in Aspen Plus. In the first part, we focused on modeling the absorption tower, where CO₂ is absorbed into the solvent, and the stripper, where the solvent is regenerated under once-through mode. In this part, we close the loop by recycling the regenerated solvent back into the system. You’ll also learn how to converge RadFrac, the 'beasty' unit operation in Aspen Plus, and utilize the design spec and calculator features to calculate the required quantity of fresh and makeup solvent. We’ve removed CO₂ from a gas mixture containing H₂, CH₄, CO, N₂, and H₂O traces, showcasing a process widely used in gas sweetening and flue gas treatment.
