Recipe: 3 types of Coconut Chutney
Ingredients:
Tomato Chutney:
Urad dal - 1-2 tsp
Chana Dal – 2 tsp
Chopped Ginger – 6-7 piece
Garlic gloves – 3-4
Onion’s – 2 small (chopped into small to medium pieces)
Coriander – 3-4 leaves
Tomatoes – 3-4 small
Salt to taste
Dry coconut – 2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder – 2-3 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
oil
Regular Coconut Chutney:
Fresh coconut – ½ washed, peeled, chopped into small pieces
Daria (Roasted gram Split) – 2 tsp
Curry leaves – 7-8
Chopped Ginger – 2 pieces
Green Chilli – 2-3 (if you like spicy, you can add more)
Salt to taste
Spicy Coconut Chutney:
Fresh coconut – ½ washed, peeled, chopped into small pieces
Daria (Roasted gram Split) – 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Chopped Ginger – 2 pieces
Garlic – 1 piece
Curry leaves – 6-7
Kashmiri chilli – 6-7 as per your spice level (soaked for few hrs)
Tempering:
Oil
Mustard seed - 1 tsp
Dry chilli – 2 pieces
Hing (Asafoetida) – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 3-4
Note: Do not add Hing (Asafoetida) when tempering Tomato chutne
