Our research work, Coded aperture imaging using non-linear Lucy-Richardson algorithm," has been published in Optics & Laser Technology. "We developed two image reconstruction algorithms, NL-LRA1 for limited support images (LSI) and NL-LRA2 for full-view images (FVI), to enhance coded aperture imaging (CAI). NL-LRA1 improves convergence speed and reconstruction accuracy using a mask constraint, while NL-LRA2 minimizes entropy through a sparse search method without altering phase information. Both algorithms outperform their parent methods, NLR and LRRA, providing higher SNR and better image quality. Tested across visible, IR, and synchrotron radiation in various imaging systems, these methods significantly enhance image recovery with minimal iterations. We believe NL-LRA1 and NL-LRA2 will set a new benchmark in computational imaging, digital holography, tomography, live-cell imaging, high-speed imaging, and IR imaging".
