Hey friends,
My name is JC and this is a story about when I went camping in Joshua Tree National Park with my dog, Chai on November 1 - November 3, 2022.
Before this year's camping season officially ends, I wanted to squeeze in one last camping trip, and what better place to visit than the beautiful desert. We were here for two nights and three days.
This camping trip was a little special for us because we had no plans during the time we are here. No planned hikes, and no landmarks to try to visit. we came here strictly to recharge and appreciate the desert's stillness.
This is Chai’s third visit to a national park this year. Earlier this year we went to Yosemite, just last month we were at sequoia, and now we’re here.
We got to the campgrounds around 5:20pm with only 40 minutes of daylight to set up camp.
Luckily here in the desert, the nights are pretty bright under the moon.
Overall it was a great camping experience at this awesome campsite. I just wish I checked the weather leading up to the trip. Regardless I had the campsite booked and I was going to make it out rain or shine.
I'll definitely be back during the camping season in the warmer months.
For this trip, we stayed at Jumbo Rocks Campground, campsite # 77.
