Thankfully, I was able to get into a bunch of Ivies, global T10s and T20s, etc. - I'll be making a stats/advice video soon! That being said, please don't take this as an ultimatum on what your future decisions should look like. Everyone's circumstances are different and unique to them; quite frankly, I got extremely lucky to get into so many schools. Did I put in a LOT of hard work? Absolutely. Wayyy too much, in fact. But that doesn't mean that, especially at schools with such low acceptance rates that keep on decreasing every year, there isn't going to be an inherent variability factor involved and a certain luck component. For instance... I got into Yale and got rejected from Northwestern. Could it have been that in 2025 I got into Northwestern and got rejected from Yale? Definitely. So to any future seniors... enjoy the process, maximize your options, and apply to realistic schools for you! But also... don't forget to aim high as well! But work hard for it. Put yourself in a position to get lucky. :) (Success is where preparation and hard work meet luck/serendipity/opportunity - I genuinely believe that).
