Colin Patrick Harper alias Collie Buddz has been active in the international reggae scene since the mid-noughties. He celebrated his breakthrough in 2007 with the single "Come Around". Since then, Collie Buddz has toured all over the world and collaborated with numerous well-known artists.
Born in New Orleans in 1984, Collie Buddz grew up on the small island of Bermuda.
One of his first major appearances as an artist was working with reggae superstar Shaggy on his single "Mad Mad World" (2007). In the same year, Collie Buddz released his debut album of the same name on Sony Music. The record becomes a success with fans and critics with titles like "Come Around" and "Blind To You".
From then on, things go steeply uphill: WWE wrestling superstar Kofi Kingston has been running into his fights to the song "SOS" since 2008, Collie plays at reggae festivals around the world. At the end of the noughties, Buddz founded his own record label Harper Digital. In 2011 he released his second album entitled "Playback".
His 2017 album "Good Life" features artists such as Snoop Dogg, Jody HIGHROLLER and P-Lo. In 2019, Collie Buddz released his first completely self-produced album "Hybrid" and received a lot of praise from the scene. After several riddim compilations with interpretations by well-known reggae stars, his fourth album "Take It Easy" will be released in 2023.
