In this episode, I begin from my campsite on Colonel By Island on the front lawn of the abandoned Danny Arnstein cottage and paddled northeast to the Lower Beveridges lockstation. After setup up my campsite there, I paddled northwest up the Tay Canal to the Town of Perth for dinner before returning back. I took the canoe through 2 locks: Lower Beveridges - Locks 33 and Upper Beveridges - Locks 34. I paddled through Big Rideau Lake, Lower Rideau Lake, the Tay Canal and the Tay River. I paddled under a total of _ bridges, including the Rideau Ferry Bridge, Port Elmsley Rd, Craig St, Beckwith St, and Drummond St. I also paddled past Murphy's Point Provincial Park and the Rideau Ferry Yacht Club Conservation Area. The municipalities I paddled through include the Township of Rideau Lakes which is part of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, as well as Tay Valley Township, Drummond North Elmsley, and the Town of Perth which are part of Lanark County.
