同郷の写真家、比良修太さんのお写真から三毛猫ちゃんを描かせて頂きました。少し長めの毛足にオレンジ色と黒の独特のマーブル模様がとても美しく、一目で魅了されたのでこの子を選びました。角度を少しだけ調整し左上にトンボを飛ばし、一緒に旅をしているイメージで描きました。

I had the pleasure of drawing this beautiful calico cat from a photograph taken by a fellow Kagoshima-based photographer, Shuta Hira. I was instantly captivated by her unique marble-like pattern of orange and black fur and her slightly long-haired coat, which made her stand out. I adjusted the angle slightly and added a dragonfly in the upper left corner, creating the image of them traveling together.
Shuta Hira is a photographer based in Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture. On Instagram, he shares many stunning photos of local stray cats. I'll include a link below, so if you love cats, be sure to check out his work!
