Colwick Yard in Nottingham, England, was once one of the largest & busiest Marshelling Yards & Sheds in Europe. Colwick Marshelling Yard Covering a huge expanse of land by the local town of Netherfield, it played host to all manner of freight traffic, direct through routes including the Nottingham to Grantham line and also the route of the Great Northern Railways Derby Friargate Line off towards Derby, now also long gone.
I take a look to see, after 50 years of closure, does anything actually remain?
