I mentioned in the video that I call ship tickets 'チケット' (chiketto), but some people say 'きっぷ' (kippu). It varies with age and personal preference, but recently, there's a trend to use 'チケット' for various things like plane tickets(航空券), entrance tickets(入場券), and more.
Basically, 'きっぷ' is commonly used for train tickets. Originally, it referred to a certificate proving payment.
For other types of tickets, people often use 'チケット' or other words like '~券 (~ken).
