Container With 50,000lbs of APPLE JUICE Rolls Over. Just like the fructalose syrup rollover we just did, this was a STICKY SITUATION! I've worked an apple juice concentrate rollover before and mannnnn is it not fun. The rollover is the easy part, but I knew that there would be hours of standby time until early morning and I was right.
For starters, we weren't allowed near the accident until the police deemed it safe. I knew it was, but they had to err on the side of caution. Once the trucks were staged, it was quick and easy to get this unit back on all wheels. That's when the real fun began.
The cleanup was hired by an environmental company and there was nothing to do but wait until that portion was done. Towing it away with it leaking and spreading to the freeway was not an option, so we just sat back and enjoyed the show.
Once that portion was done and the container was cleaned out, it was time to set it back onto the chassis and take it to the yard. Very long and messy job, but on the bright side this stuff was water soluble.
