Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Deanna Grove of Shippensburg University is doing an incredible job as CI's Spring Intern, and makes the perfect highlight for us for International Women's Day 2022 today. Here is a video from Deanna during her Living History month, replicating an 18th Recipe from Amelia Simmons.

In the 18th Century, women did not enjoy the same freedom and equality we have today, with specific rules governing what they could do, own and even wear...So posting a cooking video on International Women's Day may seem a little tone-deaf!

However, Deanna researched, filmed and edited this video completely herself, showing the resourcefulness needed for a successful career in Public History.

We're thrilled to have Deanna with us, as she is proving such a wonderful asset, and a joy to work with. This month her focus is going to be artifact research and exhibit design.

Donate to CI's Intern fund, by adding "Intern" to your donation note at http://www.paypal.me/DonatetoCI and it will be used for a bonus stipend for Deanna and future interns like her!
