Alison here, thanks for joining me.
This video is the 4th quick step by step tutorial on 'How to make Copper bracelets' I'll be making. In this one I'll be making a 7 wire weave (basket weave), copper cuff bracelet with the minimum of tools. Copper plate has been used on the ends of cuffs. The bracelet has been hammered and 'fire- scale' left on the wire acts as a patina to give it a nice rustic look.
I am using salvaged 16 gauge bare, half hard copper wire which I annealed before this tutorial. This weave pattern is very versatile, eg one can decrease/increase the amount of wires used, alter the tension, hammer/patina techniques can be applied etc.
So…at the end of this video my wish is that you feel inspired to make a bracelet, either for yourself or for someone else, and that you have a whole lot of fun. Don't forget to experiment...
Enjoy.
