Corruptions Allegations in SIDF, PMGSY and NESID against MLA Kardo Nyigyor | Likabali residents stages Dharna in Tennis Court, Itanagar.
Residents of Likabali, including Kanki, Gensi, and Shibe circle, staged a peaceful dharna at the Tennis Court in Itanagar today, protesting against their MLA, Kardo Nyigyor, for alleged misappropriation of funds from the State Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), and North-East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESID). The total amount involved is reported to be 16.2 Crore.
The protest was organised by the Likabali Anti-Corruption Firm, which accused MLA Kardo Nyigyor of using SIDF funds to create a fake firm, M/S KGNF, for the development of Malinithan mandir. The firm also alleged that 10 Crore was misused under NESID to improve Likabali township road. Additionally, the firm claimed that MLA's family-owned fake firm, M/S KGNF, was awarded the PMGSY road contract worth 2.5 Crore, and another 1 Crore 20 Lakhs was misused under SIDF at Chikurijo on the MLA's private land.
The protesters demanded the return of public funds to the state exchequer and called for a thorough investigation.
