The uniting situation being a surprise attack leading to the destruction of the colonies and most of mankind. But what if things turned out differently. What if the colonials won the war against the Cylons. What if by miracle or mistake, the Cylons failed and mankind had a real fighting chance to win. Would they actually pull through? Could they survive through to a better future?
