On the second day of our Izumo trip, after leaving the NIPPONIA Izumo Taisha Monzen Town where we stayed the previous night, we walked to our accommodation for the night, Moon Rabit Inn.
Moon Rabit Inn is about an 8-minute walk from Izumo Taisha and is operated by the Kyokyo Resort group, which also runs Dormy Inn and Onyado Nono.
Near Izumo Taisha, there are two hot spring inns operated by Kyokyo Resort: one is "Koshi no Yado Keiun" and the other is the Moon Rabit Inn where we stayed tonight.
These two inns are in separate buildings, but they share common hot spring facilities like the large bath. Keiun has a more traditional style, with private baths in every room, and is more expensive. Moon Rabit Inn has a younger, more casual style and is more affordable.
The inn has 4 shared large baths (2 for men and 2 for women) and 5 private baths that don’t require reservations, which is perfect for guests who love hot springs.
Dinner was incredibly generous, with all-you-can-eat crab legs, sashimi, and various dishes, and the staff continually replenished the food, ensuring we were all very full.
The breakfast was also quite good, with all-you-can-eat sashimi and salmon roe, and I personally feel the quality rivals that of hotels in Hokkaido.
This inn is excellent in every aspect and reasonably priced. Compared to the NIPPONIA Izumo Taisha Monzen Town where we stayed the night before, I personally prefer Moon Rabit Inn.
If you are visiting Izumo, Moon Rabit Inn or Keiun are both great choices, and I recommend them for your reference.
