Crab Curry Recipe Description
Crab curry is a rich and flavorful seafood dish made with fresh crabs simmered in a spicy, aromatic gravy. This classic recipe combines the sweetness of crab meat with a medley of Indian spices, coconut milk, and fresh herbs, creating a dish bursting with flavors. Perfectly balanced with tangy, savory, and spicy notes, it pairs wonderfully with steamed rice or flatbread like naan or roti.
Key Ingredients:👇👇👇
Fresh crabs, cleaned and cracked
Onions, finely chopped
Tomatoes, pureed
Ginger-garlic paste
Coconut milk
Tamarind or lime juice
Spices: turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin, and garam masala
Curry leaves and mustard seeds for tempering
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Cooking Process:👇👇👇
Heat oil and temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies.
Sauté onions until golden brown, then add ginger-garlic paste and cook until aromatic.
Mix in tomatoes and spices, cooking until the oil separates.
Add cleaned crabs, coating them well in the masala.
Pour in coconut milk, simmer until the crabs are tender, and the gravy thickens.
Adjust seasoning, finish with tamarind juice or lime, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
Serve hot with rice or bread for a hearty, satisfying meal.
