Kani-Doraku is known for its moving crab sign, but Amimoto Annex in Osaka is a "Kani-Doraku" without a crab sign.
Although it is a Kani-Doraku restaurant, it is a hidden store in Namba, Osaka, which is surprisingly unknown.
It is said to be the back room of Kani-Doraku, and is positioned as a place where one can enjoy crabs that are one rank higher than those at the regular restaurants.
It is said that the restaurant prioritizes the purchase of quality crabs from Amimoto.

It should be noted that Amimoto has not only a crab tank but also a squid tank.
In other words, you can eat fresh sashimi of live squid if it is stocked.
This time, we were lucky enough to be able to have a small 200g live squid.
It was so delicious that some people visit Amimoto Annex just to eat it.

This time, we had a slightly expensive course called "Manju.
We enjoyed sashimi and crab sukiyaki.
The interior of Amimoto Annex looks like a long-established onsen ryokan (Japanese-style inn) and has a luxurious atmosphere that sets it apart from other restaurants.
Although I could not tell the difference in taste just from this course, I could sense the deep passion for crab dishes that Kani-Douraku originally aims for.
As the waiter said, this was evident in the very heavy plates.
It was a precious dining experience for those of us who love crab dishes.
