Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This week's video is all about throwing and trimming a stoneware pourer that has a thrown spout, as compared to a traditionally pulled one. The vessels are then glazed and fired, their pouring abilities tested and compared. I also discuss all the usual steps, from how I throw, how these parts are fashioned together and to the importance of glazing neatly, amongst many other topics. Thank you so much for taking your precious time to watch, I appreciate it to no end. 🫖 • ALL about making spouts: https://youtu.be/EHQnVAQQOHo 🏺 • You may also be interested in my 'A Beginner's Guide' series, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2WJhtTF0eGhQwf8g2LHcom_KrvJpH_JT 💌 • Sign up to my newsletter here: https://www.floriangadsby.com/newsletter 📖 • ORDER MY BOOK: https://geni.us/bymyhands Timecodes: 0:00 - Introduction 0:52 - Preparing the clay 1:23 - Throwing the bodies of the pourers 4:55 - Throwing the spouts 7:03 - Trimming the bodies of the pourers 8:49 - Attaching the spouts 13:58 - Storing them so they don't crack 14:19 - Bisque firing to 1000ºC 14:36 - Sanding the spout to refine it 15:44 - Waxing the bases 16:16 - Glazing the pourers 16:39 - Cleaning up the glazed forms 17:45 - Packing the pots into the gas kiln & reduction firing them to cone ten, (1290ºC) 18:19 - Unpacking the gas kiln & sanding the pots bases 19:15 - Testing the pourers... • Find out much more via the link below! https://linktr.ee/floriangadsby • Get in touch here: https://www.floriangadsby.com/contact Sign up to my newsletter here: https://www.floriangadsby.com/newsletter
