Thank you for watching! Please find the recipe down below. This recipe is always a favorite of family and friends who may drop in for coffee and a game of cards. It's not hard to make just a bit time consuming but if you have a bread machine you can take a lot of the work out of it. Cream Cheese Frosted Cinnamon Buns 1 cup milk 2 eggs room temperature ⅓ cup butter room temperature 4 - 4 ¼ cups bread flour ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup white sugar 1 package active dry yeast Filling 1 cup brown sugar packed 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon ⅓ cup butter softened Frosting 4 ounce cream cheese softened ¼ cup butter softened 1 ½ cups confectioners' sugar ½ teaspoon vanilla extract ⅛ teaspoon salt Method: Starting with a bread machine I put the warm milk in the bottom, add the sugar, mix in the two beaten eggs, the butter and then the yeast and I give this a quick stir before adding the flour and salt. I set the bread machine to the dough function and let it go. If you are making the dough by hand proof the yeast by adding the warm milk, a tsp of the sugar and the yeast in a bowl for then minutes, then add the butter, the rest of the sugar and the eggs to the wet mixture. In a larger bowl add the flour and salt. Mix in the wet ingredients and knead for about 10 minutes or until the dough become elastic. Cover the dough and set in a warm place to double in size, about 1 hour. Mix together the filling and set aside. Once the dough has doubled in size preheat the oven to 350 F and dump it out onto a floured surface working it by hand or with a rolling pin until you have it rolled out to approximately 12 X 16 inches. Brush the dough with the melted butter and then evenly sprinkle on the filling mixture. Bake about 20 minutes at 350 F. until golden brown and place on a cooking rack. Mix together the icing ingredients until smooth and then cover the buns with the cream cheese icing and enjoy.
