Summer is just around the corner and it was time to create a small mini pond for the patio. I used an ordinary waterproof planter from the garden center for the pond. The mini pond was planted with various pond plants and aquarium plants. The small biotope runs completely without technology, so I don't use a filter and UVC system. It stands in a semi-shady place to prevent unwanted algae growth. It is currently still in the Running-in phase. Medakas - small Japanese rice fish - are due to move in here in a few days'. These nano fish are ideal for small patio fish ponds like this and are available in a wide variety of breeding forms. More on this soon in part 2!
