Ableton 12.2 New Features:
• Auto Filter has had a complete overhaul with new modes / new visualizations / better sound
• Expressive Chords is a new device to find inspiration and create rich/nuanced chords and progressions (also made for Push)
• Roar gets an update: audio sidechain, MIDI input, a new Delay routing mode, and a new phase distortion filter (Dispersion)
• Spectral Resonator adds scale awareness and enables tuning systems. Plus new quantize feature allows you to individually quantize the harmonics to a scale, tuning system, or chromatic note
• Resonators also adds scale awareness and enables tuning systems
• Meld has added a new Chord oscillator (the Shape macro lets you choose from a range of chords – all in the key of your track, if scale awareness is enabled). Also added the Scrambler modulator FX, which slices and reorders the source LFO
• Last but very much not least: “Bounce to New Track”! A long-standing wish finally comes to Live – quickly render selected clips or regions from Arrangement or Session View to a new audio track. Also works with Grouped tracks!
