Crews begin removing Black Lives Matter mural near the White House

Crews began the removal of the Black Lives Matter street mural in Washington, D.C. that was installed during the racial justice protests in 2020. D.C. Mayor Bowser recently announced the plans after getting pressure from the White House. Erasing the mural is expected to take six to eight weeks and cost about $610,000.
