The CRF300L is a pretty good deal. Under $6000 for a new dual sport motorcycle in 2022 is amazing. But surely that savings has to have some compromises, right? Well anyone who's even sat on one can probably tell you what that compromise is. The suspension is just awful! It literally eats up about 1/3 of the rear travel just by taking it off kickstand. Sit on it and you'll lose another 1/3. And believe me, it doesn't get any better when you start to ride. It's floaty, soft, and has a disconnected feeling. It's like a cadillac from the 90's and back. That maybe nice in a big body sedan but a dual sport.. no. Luckily Race Tech has been on it and developed a number of parts to help. In this video will be changing the shock out for a G3-S Custom Shock. These things come set up specifically for you with full adjustability. Next video will tackle the forks. Springs, gold valves, will get this CRF300L set right!
