1992 ജൂണിൽ ഫൈറ്റർ സ്ട്രീമിലേക്ക് കമ്മീഷൻ ചെയ്ത് 2019 ൽ വിരമിച്ച ഇന്ത്യൻ എയർഫോഴ്സ് പൈലറ്റും ഒരു സംരംഭകനും ആണ്. മിറാഷ് 2000, മിഗ്-21, കിരൺ എച്ച്പിടി 32, എയർബസ് എ 320 എന്നീ വിമാനങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി പറത്തിയ അഗസ്റ്റിൻ 3500 മണിക്കൂർ പറക്കൽ അനുഭവസമ്പത്തുള്ള ഒരു പൈലറ്റ് കൂടിയാണ്. കോളേജ് ഓഫ് എയർ വാർഫെയർ ബിരുദധാരിയായ അഗസ്റ്റിൻ ഹയർ എയർ കമാൻഡ് കോഴ്സ് ചെയ്തതിന്‌ ശേഷം അവിടെനിന്നുതന്നെ എം ഫിൽ ബിരുദവും പിഎച്ച്ഡിയും നേടി ഒരു അധ്യാപകനായി തുടർന്നു.ഇന്ത്യൻ ആർമിക്കും മറ്റുമായി ഡ്രോണുകൾ നിർമിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അഗസ്റ്റിൻ രാജ്യത്തെ ഡ്രോണുകളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഒരു ദീർഘദർശിയാണ്. ആദ്യമായി അദ്ദേഹം വികസിപ്പിച്ച ഡ്രോൺ 7 സെക്ടർ രാഷ്ട്രീയ റൈഫിൾസ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ആർമിക്കുവേണ്ടിയാണ്. രണ്ട് തവണ എയർ-ഓഫീസർ കമാന്റിംഗ് ഇൻ ചീഫ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അഭിനന്ദിക്കുകയും 2015-ൽ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രപതി വിശിഷ്ട സേവാ മെഡൽ നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തു. പാരാട്രൂപ്പർ, സ്കൈ ഡൈവർ, സ്‌കൂബ ഡൈവ് മാസ്റ്റർ, ആഴക്കടൽ രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തകൻ എന്നുതുടങ്ങി പലതിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പരിശീലനം ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Group Captain MJ Augustine Vinod (retd) Vishist Sewa Medal, who was commissioned to Fighter Stream in June 1992 and is an Indian Air Force pilot and entrepreneur who retired in 2019. Augustine flew the Mirage 2000, MiG-21, Kiran HPT32 and Airbus A320 for India. He is also a pilot with 3500 hours of flying experience. He is a graduate of College of Air Warfare, where he did his Higher Air Command Course, earned M Phil degree and was retained as an instructor this where he pursued his PhD. He is a visionary as far as drones in the country are concerned. He flew the first autonomous drone and sold the same to 7 Sector Rashtriya Rifles Indian Army in 2009. He mentored and handheld many drone companies. He has been commended by Air-OfficerCommanding in Chief twice and was conferred with Vishist Seva Medal by the President of India in 2015. He is a trained Paratrooper, Sky Diver, a Scuba Dive Master and Deep-sea Rescue Diver.
