This Easy Pan Fried Fish is with crispy golden crust and juicy flesh inside.The coating protects the flesh from direct heat and helps keep the fish moist, while also providing a golden and crispy crust. It’s a super quick healthy dinner because cooking fish fillets on the pan takes less than 5 minutes!
Ingredients:
Fish Fillet - 500g ( I used Haddock )
Salt
Pepper
Olive Oil - 1 tbs
Lime Juice - 1/2 Lime
Rosemary
Parsley
Garlic cloves - 2
Plain Flour - 1/4 cup
Paprika/ chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Oil 2 tbs for frying
How to Cook Crispy Pan Fried Fish?
Pat dry the cleaned fish and season with salt, pepper. Add Olive oil, lime juice, rosemary, parsley and garlic cloves. Let this marinate for at least 30 minutes to overnight if you have time.
Mix the flour and paprika on a plate.
Coat fish on both sides with flour, pressing down firmly to adheres and shake well to remove excess flour.
Heat a heavy based skillet over medium high heat until you see smoke. Add oil and swirl to coat the pan.
Add fish. it should sizzle straight away. Cook for 2 minutes until golden and crisp, pressing down gently, then flip. Cook the other side for 2 minutes until crisp then remove.
Serve fish immediately with lemon wedges. It starts to lose crispiness when it is cold.
