This educational video is intended to draw attention to the problem of facilitator influence and control over letter selection when using Facilitated Communication (FC) , Spelling to Communicate (S2C), Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) or other facilitator-dependent techniques.
Many autism, behavioral, and speech/language organizations oppose the use of FC/S2C/RPM, citing lack of scientific evidence, facilitator control, prompt dependency, and other harms (including false allegations of abuse).
