This video describes 5 of the most common types of needlework hoops and frames - these could be used for cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, etc.
I realize I call multiple of these my "favorite" - haha; it depends what size project I'm working on, and sometimes I have projects already set up on my frames so then I'll jump back to a hoop or q-snap rather than unmounting one to put a different one on. All have merit/appropriate use.
