SHOT IN HIGH DEFINITION 4K!! The pillowing clouds of smoke and ash fill the air, as whistles echo through the San Juan mountain ranges of Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. All signs lead you to none other than the world famous Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, established along with the rest of the Denver & Rio Grande San Juan Extension in 1880. With 64 miles of man made rail stretching from the western Chama, NM to the eastern Antonito, CO, reaching an elevation of over 10,000 feet, this railroad has been the ideal place for tourism, sightseeing, hospitality, and more notably the film industry: being the backdrop of several western films and TV shows. With such a rich history and a full head of steam leading the pack, it’s no wonder that this railroad has been keeping its doors open to the public since 1970. Join us as the men and women of the Cumbres and Toltec take us on a journey to the town of Osier, CO! #railfans #cumbres #toltec #chama #osier #trains @CumbresandToltecRR @friendsofctsrr Chapters: 0:00 - Introduction 1:15 - Welcome to Chama 1:39 - Morning Operations (Chama, NM) 9:28 - Boarding Call (Chama, NM) 10:47 - Departing Chama 13:26 - Rio Chama 14:24 - Lake Lobato 15:28 - Lobato 16:40 - Dalton 17:50 - Highway 17 19:08 - Milepost 335 19:32 - Cresco 20:36 - Coxo 21:36 - Cumbres Pass 24:40 - Apache 25:40 - Welcome to Osier 31:00 - Los Pinos 36:06 - Milepost 329 37:13 - Cumbres Pass (Westbound) 39:48 - Coxo (Westbound) 40:51 - Cresco (Westbound) 42:27 - Cebolla 43:54 - Dalton (Westbound) 44:56 - Lobato (Westbound) 46:02 - Rio Chama (Westbound) 46:48 - Returning to Chama 47:44 - End Credits Filmed & Edited By Keith Fox Special Thanks To: Jack Fellure (Arkansas Locomotive Works): @ArkansasLocomotiveWorks https://www.instagram.com/arkansas_locomotive_works Carter Jackson: https://www.instagram.com/rsrkai Akshan Chopra: https://www.instagram.com/akshan.chopra for accompanying me on this journey.
