Continuing the first part of life on the freight wherry, today Khoai would like to introduce the second part called "supermarket on the river". Let's kick off!
Jokingly called the supermarket because on the small wherry, there are dozens of different items, from the smallest things like knives, scissors, cups, chopsticks, ... to large household items such as cabinets, tables, mattresses, ... Even under the boat there is a small cellar, which we could use to store more goods. The wherry is full on the first day and will be out of stock about a week later. Twice a month, based on the level of the tide, the boat will run through the large and small rivers of Ca Mau, where the boat stops, the boat owner will borrow the local people's wharf and continue on the next morning without heading back
Although life on the boat is a shortage of material, it is still full of laughter of guests, of Mr. Long and Mrs. Loan, It's quite sunny but Khoai is not tired at all.
Gradually, with road development, opportunities for freight wherry also less and less. Hopefully, the video of this trip will help to partly save the memories of the Western River, the images and sounds of the boat echoing from afar in the childhood of every Western person.
