This run beats the former World Record held by Uramatsu by 8 seconds and finally breaks the 1:02:xx barrier! Overall, this was a beautiful run, though there were still a handful of time losses. The DLC segment of the run for example had quite a few sloppy fights, and we lost time from playing overcautiously on a few late game fights (like Dr. Kahl). The saving grace of this run was nailing both Beppi glitch and Sally glitch with minimal time loss. I also decided to play King Dice and The Devil with Ms. Chalice (instead of Mugman + Whetstone) since it's significantly more consistent even though it is slightly slower in terms of timesave potential. I do intend on pushing this time down to a lower 1:02:xx since there's still a decent chunk of timesave out there.

Q: How are you able to play on Expert without beating the game first?
A: Speedrunners use something called the "Fresh Expert" glitch for Expert mode categories. Basically, if you have a save file where you've already beaten the game, you access that first and select a boss. On the difficulty select, you put the cursor over "Expert" (no need to actually fight the boss), and then back out and Exit to Title. When you start a new file you will begin the game on Expert.
Q: Why do you fight all of the King Dice minibosses?
A: While they technically don't contribute to file percentage, we decided in the speedrunning community to include them in the 300% category since it fills out the Checklist in the menu. That's also the same reason we require buying all the weapons/charms despite them not contributing to file percentage either; it's just nice looking from a completionist perspective!
