Remember two years ago year I built a custom Temple Cycles for Wen. I enjoyed the process of building the wheels and learning the whole anatomy of a bike when I attempted to put all the components together. I couldn't stop staring at it now! It has been serving her so well through her commute everyday and all our little adventures the past years.
Last summer, I got in touch with Temple Cycles for another custom build and this time for is for myself! I had been riding on my old touring bike by Ridgeback for the past 12 years since I got it back in 2012 and it has come a long way! I longed for a minimalist adventure bike with disc brakes so the Temple's Adventure Disc was a good place to start!
I had the vision to pursuing the silver components with a hint of brass and brown/orange note which kinda makes it stand out a little. I am lucky to be able to source these quirky parts from my favourite retailer in Cambridge, Freshtripe. The end result is a robust, minimal flat bar modern steel bike that had been making me smile for the past 3 months and for a long time to come. I hope you enjoy the rest of the build video that I have put together. Enjoy!
